Newspapers in Education/Media in Education

Media in Education (formerly Newspapers in Education) (MIE) is a cooperative effort between schools and The Hartford Courant to promote the use of newspapers in the classroom. The Hartford Courants MIE program provides newspapers to schools, conducts teacher workshops, offers curriculum materials and helps teachers develop newspaper use for student learning in all subject areas at all grade levels. The Hartford Courants Media in Education materials provide practical application for skills and concepts in the school curriculum and information which expands and relevantly updates textbook contents.
